Simple Intentions for December
Every month I like to set intentions for myself. This allows me to reset, reprioritize, and strive for self-improvement. This will become a monthly occurrence in the hopes that it will inspire others to set goals and intentions for oneself.
I feel that one-month is a good time frame to set and stick to goals. Any longer and it can feel hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In many ways, I expand upon a previous months goal. For example, if my goal is to read every day, no matter how little (1 paragraph, 1 page), the next month I may up it to reading for 5 minutes everyday. Sometimes it will simply be to maintain a previous months goal, such as continuing to read everyday for the next month.
I am keeping November’s intentions more mental, rather than physical, because we have a lot of travel and holiday plans coming up and I don’t want to set myself up for failure.
- Take time every day to write down 3 things I am grateful for.
- Take time weekly to decompress
- Be willing to treat myself when I feel I need it (go on a long run, get nails done, get a haircut, etc.)
- Take things slowly, don’t feel rushed or pressure to do more if it is overwhelming
What are your intentions this month?
